Located along Interstate 44, the Conway rest area is a tribute to historical U.S. Route 66. The area includes a walkway laid out to remind us travelers of the road, including the appropriate sign.
The picnic shelters were built to resemble various sites along U.S. 66 in Missouri, such as Kevin's Market.
You can also have your picnic at Rand's Garage.
Or you can go to Pete's Garage.
The rest stop itself welcomes you with this sign, similar to the type used by motels.
After my brief exploration of the rest stop, it was time to get on the road again.
