A Few Things For Sunday

I've been running around a bit, and thus had less time on my hands, but I still managed to find a few stories to pass on.  Here, then, are some things going on:

From the Independent, a 7-magnitude earthquake strikes the Indonesian island of Lombok.

From Deutsche Welle, Germany's ruling party debates reinstating the draft.

From GetWestLondon, another man is stabbed to death in the city where knives are banned.  (via Breitbart London)

From the Sunday Express, the BBC pulls a video for kids showing pre-modern migrations into Britain.

From RFI, people protest the eviction of migrants from a park in Nantes, France.

From YLE, according to the Finnish migration agency, sham marriages between Finns and Iraqis are on the rise.

From VRT, 2018 now exceeds 1976 for the number of "summer days" in Belgium.  (Gotta love those three-letter acronyms.)

From Pakistan Today, the family of a Sindhi artist claims that he was killed for alleged blasphemy.

From BDNews24, the vehicle carrying the U.S. ambassador to Bangla Desh was attacked in Dhaka.

From The Times Of Israel, ISIS claims to have executed Druze hostages taken in the Syrian region of Sweida.

From Gatestone Institute, the persecution of Christians in January, 2018.

From Townhall, a look at left-wing double standards.

From Fox 46, in North Carolina, an armed robber targets a lemonade stand.  (via Fox News)

From ABC 7, this weekend has been very violent in Chicago.  (via Breitbart's Big Government)

From Breitbart's Big Government, on President Trump's watch, 2.8 million people have dropped off the food stamp rolls.  (Good news, but out of over 330 people living in the U.S., 2.8 million is not that large a number.)

From The Daily Caller, retired Florida State football coach Bobby Bowden supports a high school coach who kneels and prays silently after each game concludes.  (Bowden wrote the article.  Here is a type of football-related kneeling that I can get behind.)

And from Poland In English, today is the anniversary of the Nazi German extermination of Polish civilians in the Wola district of Warsaw, done in response to the Warsaw ghetto uprising.
