Friday Fuss

I now interrupt my travelogue to return to some regular blogging, as in linking stories "for you approval", to steal Ron Serling's phrase, or as the facts might dictate, for your disapproval.  Thus, on a warm partly sunny Friday somewhere in Wisconsin, here are some things going on:

From National Review, Attorney General Merrick Garland announces a special counsel for First Son Hunter Biden.

From FrontpageMag, where is former First Lady/Senator (D-NY)/Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's indictment on the same charges as former President Trump?

From Townhall, Hunter Biden will go on trial.

From The Washington Free Beacon, six books which all young journalists should read.

From the Washington Examiner, President Biden regrets lying about the "Inflation Reduction Act".

From The Federalist, the FBI targets traditional Catholics because they refuse to accept leftist morality.

From American Thinker, were empires really all that bad?

From MRCTV, a Native American group demands that the Washington Commanders change their name back to the Redskins.

From NewsBusters, Special Counsel Jack Smith thinks that he is allowed to leak evidence, but Trump is not.

From Canada Free Press, the movie Sound of Freedom is "an alarm bell for all of God's children".

From TeleSUR, President Nicolas Maduro asks Venezuela's military to keep their guard up.

From TCW Defending Freedom, don't be so dim as to tinker with sunlight.

From EuroNews, consuming olive oil could reduce your chances of dying from dementia.

From Voice Of Europe, President Volodymyr Zelensky dismisses all of Ukraine's regional commanders.

From ReMix, the world has moved too far leftward, claims the singer known as Johnny Rotten.  (If you read German, read the story at Welt.)

From Balkan Insight, Bosnian authorities will investigate people who express support online for a shooter who livestreamed himself while committing his crimes in Gradačac, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

From The New Arab, Jordanian satirist Ahmad Hassan al-Zoubi is sentenced to a year in prison over a post made on Facebook.  (What is this "freedom of speech" you speak of?)

From Gatestone Institute, India and the Middle East undergo a massive transformation.

From The Stream, how the feminist movement drew ideas from the occult.

From The Daily Signal, a rabbi in Beverly Hills, California defends his right to hold Jewish services in his home after the city tries to stop him.  (What are this "freedom of religion" and this "right to peaceable assemble" you speak of?)

From The American Conservative, if you want to reduce harm from drugs, try abstaining from them.

From BizPac Review, right-wing commentator Megyn Kelly defends Trump's "fat pig" jab at presidential candidate and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R).  (In my opinion, while not as heavy as Christie, Trump could stand to lose a few himself.)

From The Daily Wire, more on the aforementioned special counsel assigned to investigate Hunter Biden.

From the Daily Caller, the judge in charge of Trump's trial on charges related to the Capitol riot adopts his protective order proposal, with some restrictions.

From Breitbart, Republicans (figuratively) rip Biden for tying domestic disaster relief to more funding for Ukraine.

From Newsmax, at the Iowa State Fair, former Vice President Pence faces questions from hostile Trump supporters.

And from the New York Post and the "I'm not dead yet" department, an animal species thought to have gone extinct 3 million years ago makes its modern appearance.
