On Christmas Day in 1914, German, British and French soldiers on the Western Front of World War I stopped fighting and observed an unofficial ceasefire, known today as the Christmas Truce of 1914. Meanwhile up in the sky, those airborne adversaries Snoopy and the Red Baron also took a pause from their battle.
