Links For A Rainy Monday

As has happened before, today is both a rainy day and a Monday, which the Carpenters once lamented in song.  As people get back to work and the rain falls, here are some things going on:

From the NL Times, a confederation of Turkish mosques in the Netherlands want politician Geert Wilders banned from Twitter.  (How many Dutch Reformed churches are there in Turkey?  The story comes via Voice Of Europe.)

From the (Irish) Independent, according to their Taoiseach, Ireland is willing to consider proposals regarding their border with the U.K.  (I think that the Taoiseach is the equivalent of a prime minister.  I have no idea how to pronounce the term.)

From SwissInfo, the pros and cons of the cow horn initiative.  (Scroll down to see both sides of the issue.)

From The Slovak Spectator, "do you have your map of Czechoslovakia?"

From NDTV, Saudis call for a boycott of Amazon over The Washington Post's coverage of the Jamal Khashoggi murder.  (The two businesses are owned by the same person, Jeff Bezos.)

From AsiaNews, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina says that whoever says offensive things about Islam or Mohammed will be punished.

From Gatestone Institute, Pakistan's "judicial betrayal" of Asia Bibi.  (This article was linked at The Religion Of Peace, and was also placed by Kel the Red Fox Blogger into the chatroom of her BlogTalkRadio show.)
