This morning, I ventured out from my undisclosed location - on foot. I got on the Virginia Beach boardwalk, went northward, and found this memorial to Virginia Beach's finest.
Here's a bit of the beach. Visitors were using various tents, pergolas and umbrellas.
I reached the north end of the boardwalk, but the beach itself goes far beyond this.
As I returned to my starting point, I took a shot of this Navy SEAL monument.
I also saw this sand castle sculpture. The bikes and four-wheeled self-propelled vehicles in the background on the left can be rented, I believe. There's a paved bike path running parallel to the boardwalk.
That's all for the morning. There will be more to come from this afternoon. Stay tuned.
