Today I did some exploring in central Florida. Before setting out from the place where I'm staying, I decided to take a pic of a nearby fountain. Although its surrounding pond was obviously artificial, it still had signs which warned about alligators and snakes.
Also nearby were some golf fairways, such as this one, extending between rows of buildings.
After find some lunch, I drove eastward on U.S. 192 past St. Cloud, Florida to the Reptile World Serpentarium. If you're into "snake, a snake, oh it's a snake", this place is for you. Their snakes are housed in a darkly lit indoor facility. This one decided to climb up the window of its enclosure where it meets one side wall.
If you're a fan of the hard rock band Whitesnake, you might like this critter, an albino ball python.
This one had part of a tree stump in its enclosure. The bright light at the bottom is probably a reflection of my camera's flash.
This last snake was a very large python. Again, there appears to be a camera flash reflection at the bottom.
You might now have realized that the snakes are reason for this post's "science" label, which would more specifically be "ophiology". More animals will be presented in Part 2.
