Today I travelled west from my undisclosed location and visited Jerusalem Mill Village, located around the intersection of Jerusalem and Jericho Roads in Harford County, Maryland. This large building was the original Jerusalem Mill, and is now the headquarters of Gunpowder Falls State Park. You can see from the sign on the right that it was established in 1772.
Across Jerusalem Road from the mill is the blacksmith shop. To the left is a picnic area.
I wandered around and took another shot of the old mill, with some trees in the foreground.
Behind the blacksmith shop was this structure, with a roof but no sides.
A short trail leads southward from the mill and the blacksmith shop to the Bank Historic Barn Ruins, which are along Jericho Road. The white shed to the right appears to be a modern addition. As the name implies, the barn may have been a bank barn, in which two different levels may be accessed via the ground.
Here's the former barn from a different angle.
Finally, I took a shot of this two-part building on the way back to the parking lot, which is close to the blacksmith shop seen above.
After taking the last picture, I got back into the Bigfootmobile and found a place to eat. See all youz soon.
