A Few Stories Before Traveling

I'm going to take another road trip, albeit a much shorter one than my last, so here are a few things going on before I leave:

From National Review, President Trump wants to close a loophole in the food-stamp program.

From FrontpageMag, how India deals with illegal immigration.

From Townhall, why the left is now reconsidering former Senator Al Franken (D-Minn).

From The Washington Free Beacon, the U.S. sides with Vietnam against China.

From the Washington Examiner, no more seats on SCOTUS, says Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

From The Federalist, Guatemalans illegally entering the U.S. aren't fleeing violence, but are seeking economic opportunity.

From American Thinker, we're now in "the summer of Democrats' discontent".

From CNS News, the Donald and the Speaker team up to give us more government and debt.

From Newsbusters, ABC roots for impeachment.

From The Stream, the many forms of attack against conservative speech.

From The Conservative Woman, a gay writer opines against Pride.

From WPVI-TV, Special Counsel Robert Mueller's opening statement.

From Twitchy, there are a few questions which Mueller won't answer.

From the Daily Caller, according to former congresscritter Bob Barr (R-GA), the problems with the Portland, Oregon police can be blamed on former President Obama.

From the New York Post, Puerto Rican Governor Ricardo Rosselló is "expected to resign".  (If you read Spanish, read the story at El Nueva Día.)

And from NPR, Justice Ginsburg tells us that reports of her death have been greatly exaggerated.  (via the New York Post)

Later today, I hope to report some information on my travels.  As you can tell, the above stories are mostly domestic, so if I get the chance, I might present some stories from outside the U.S.  Stay tuned.
