A Few Items For May Day

On a warm mostly cloudy Thursday falling on the first of May, here are some things going on:

From The Standard, people smuggling gangs are "taking advantage" of warm weather as a record number of migrants illegally cross the English Channel into the U.K.

From the Daily Mail, Israel deals with the largest wildfires in its modern history.

From Allah's Willing Executioners, a Syrian member of ISIS is willing to leave Germany, if he gets paid €144,000.  (If you read German, read the story at JouWatch.)

From RAIR Foundation USA, congressional candidate Valentina Gomez (R-TX) exposes the Texas branch of CAIR as a propaganda organization linked to Hamas.

From Gatestone Institute, Turkey allows arrests, torture and censorship of dissident journalists.

From The Stream, the transgender movement claims "victim" status while fighting against protections for children.

From The Daily Signal, the case for the deported "Maryland dad" continues to implode for the Democrats.  (As a genuine Maryland resident, I regard the labeling of this Salvadorian deported illegal alien as being a "Maryland" man to be a bigoted insult to myself and all U.S. citizens and legal immigrants residing in my state.)

From The American Conservative, will President Trump say "no" to any war with Iran?

From The Western Journal, Trump announces a new post for former National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.

From National Review, the Trump administration sues blue states which have tried to overly enforce expansive regulations against oil and gas companies.

From FrontpageMag, the Trump administration shows the door to 4,000 foreign students who came to the U.S. on visas and then committed crimes.

From Townhall, CNN reporter Scott Jennings reminds left-wingers about illegal immigration and Governor Tim Walz (D-Min).

From The Washington Free Beacon, according to a report, the Harvard University Law Review awards a $65,000 fellowship to a law student who faced charges of assaulting an Israeli classmate.

From the Washington Examiner, four Democrat congresscritters remove themselves as co-sponsors of a resolution to impeach Trump.

From The Federalist, a report from the Department of Health and Human Services shows that there is no evidence to support transgender surgery on confused children.  (I almost misspelled "transgender" as "transfender", which might make sense if your car needs some body repairs.)

From American Thinker, nuclear power plants, intermittent renewable energy, and the collapse of the European power grid.

From MRCTV, congresscritter Ilhan Omar (D-Min) tells a reporter to "[bleep] off" when asked about her colleagues visiting the aforementioned deported Salvadorian.

From NewsBusters, "Big Tech" censors are shamed by a study about abortion pills.

From TCW Defending Freedom, a TCWDF writer promises to vote for the U.K.'s Reform Party, despite "many" doubts.

And from SFGate, world-famous skateboarder Tony Hawk makes a surprise visit to the newest skate park in San Francisco.
