This morning, I decided to take a hike in Eastham Park in Warren County, Virginia. The park is just outside of the town of Front Royal and next to the South Fork of the Shenandoah River, as seen here.
The park includes a paved trail, which goes under a railroad bridge. This means that for the second time in about four weeks, I hiked under one of them. (See my post about Poston Butte in Arizona.)
The railroad runs right next to the park.
At the north end of the park is a place where you can launch your boat into the river.
The park also includes a soccer field and a two-part dog park, one part for small dogs and the other for large dogs. This all means that if you're into dogs, hiking, soccer or boating, Eastham Park near Front Royal, Virginia has something for you.
