Frank Beamer Elected To College Football Hall Of Fame
Retired Virginia Tech football coach Frank Beamer has been elected to the College Football Hall of Fame. It was his first time on the ballot. To be eligible, a retired coach must have stepped down at least three years earlier, or be at least 70 year old. Beamer is now 71, and stepped down from his position two year ago. He was 238-121-1 at Virginia Tech and 280-143-4 overall. He had also been head football coach at Murray State, where his successor Justin Fuente would later play.
